Nathun Finkhouse is originally from central Idaho where he earned an Art Education degree.  Growing up in Idaho, Nathun was surrounded by beautiful landscapes and rustic scenes of rusty cars and abandoned barns. These images and memories greatly informed Nathun’s artistic vision as can be observed in many of his paintings.

Nathun is interested in the abandoned nature of rustic scenes where man-made objects are slowly being reclaimed

by the surrounding land. Over time, nothing is spared by the relentless and resilient nature of the wilderness.  Nathun Finkhouse is experienced in Watercolor, Acrylic, Oil, Pencil, and Pastels. With about 20 years of experience in art, he is a current instructor at Clark College, Vancouver Art Space, and independently hosts his own Paint and Sip events. Nathun is also a proud member of the Mosaic Arts Alliance and Southwest Washington Watercolor Society. Other than art, Nathun is a professional musician and can be found playing his original music locally on a regular basis.
